Essential Companion Tickets

We understand that some visitors may not be able to access Wroxham Barns without the assistance of an Essential Companion.

We are pleased to offer a free Essential Companion ticket to those that are registered with the Access Card scheme, administered by Nimbus Disability.

To get an Access Card, an application will need to be completed whereupon supplying suitable documentation, Nimbus Disability will determine the level of access support required. Nimbus Disability is one of the country's leading providers of disability-related advice and support to professional organisations and is recognised as a lead authority on accessible ticketing in the UK. They are an award winning organisation run by disabled people who specialise in the legislation behind The Equality Act and more. Wroxham Barns do not have any decision over who is eligible for a card and what access support is deemed appropriate.

Essential Companion tickets are available free of charge to visitors who hold an Access Card with the +1 symbol. Upon booking an Essential Companion ticket you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

By purchasing an Essential Companion ticket, you accept responsibility for providing the support required when visiting Wroxham Barns. This includes being able to assist in an emergency evacuation. The team at Wroxham Barns are unable to provide assistance in excess of their typical roles so it's important that any support with moving around is given by the essential companion holding the ticket.

It is the policy of Wroxham Barns Ltd that all children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. We understand that young carers are a much valued source of support but we can only accept an essential companion over the age of 18.

If we feel that either the visitor requiring support or the essential companion are abusing the Essential Companion Ticket Scheme, we reserve the right to refuse access via the Essential Companion Ticket Scheme on future visits.

Wroxham Barns reserves the right to alter the entrance price for an Essential Companion Ticket at their discretion.

Tickets booked on the gate will be subject to providing a valid Access Card alongside an appropriate Essential Companion (see clause 4 & 5) and our team verifying through the Nimbus Access Card Validator. Inappropriate behaviour or misconduct towards our staff will not be tolerated and if deemed necessary, you will be refused entry.
